Ruler of the Pale March, The Marquess has held fast to the borderlands for decades. Advanced in years and with neither spouse nor heir, the future of her lands is cast in uncertainty in spite of her martial prowess and strategic genius.

Her most recent and most pressing concern though, are the reports coming from within her own March. Reports of missing young women and disturbances at the Abbey have given her pause.

Amidst it all, a red haired lass catches her eye at the annual masquerade ball.
